YAMPA VALLEY STEVE, Steve Jones, a/k/a the “Cowboy Irish Tenor”. “Steve has one of the purest voices I've ever heard. Any Western song is enhanced by the clean, pure, soaring tenor voice…." —Vic Anderson, Cowboy Troubadour.

For 25+ years, and almost 3,000 shows, Steve has engaged and entertained audiences with his voice and enthusiasm on stage. His songs often include some sing-alongs, and humor. A few cowboy poems add a western perspective to an evening.

He spent 17 years with the duo Yampa Valley Boys and has been solo since 2017. He plays acoustic guitar and provides a variety of cowboy/western, folk, Americana, classic country, Irish and original songs.

He has specialty shows of all John Denver songs, Irish songs, Christmas songs, as well as a variety of cover songs from such artists as The Eagles, Bob Dylan, Jimmy Buffet and many others. He has performed throughout many of the western states, and once in Ireland.  He has 3 CD recordings, see below on the Music/Discography page.  “The Lump of Coal” was a top 20 western CD, for most  2021, per “The Western Way”.  The Yampa Valley Boys, had 8 CD recordings.

Home base is still in the Yampa Valley, but Steve now spends about half of the year in Casa Grande, AZ.  Whether he is in the Colorado mountains, or the Arizona desert, Steve’s songs often have an Irish connection.

No audience too large or too small.
